How did you meet?
My husband and I lived in the same neighborhood on the same street. He showed interest,
asked for my number, and I gave it to him. Ever since then, we’ve been together.
How old were each of you when you met?
I was turning 15 soon and my husband was already 17 years old.
In only one word, how would each of you sum up your relationship?
Healthy.
What is your favorite quality in your partner?
My favorite quality is my husbands loyalty and I would have to say my wife’s kindness.
What has your relationship taught you about commitment?
Commitment requires being there through the good the bad and the ugly.
Communication is key and highly recommended.
What is one thing your partner has taught you about love?
Love is long suffering with no strings attached.
What is a major obstacle you’ve faced together, and how did you overcome that situation?
A major obstacle that we faced together was my health complications. We prayed
together often and he really exemplified our marriage vows.
What are you most proud of accomplishing together?
We are most proud of being parents and raising our children together.
What are you most looking forward to doing together?
We are looking forward to traveling around
the world together.
Any advice for folks aiming for resilient love?
Our advice would be to pray, keep others
out of your relationship, encourage each
other, respect each other and communicate
about everything. Do not go to bed angry!
